The ASA is bringing a workshop to Alberta from the Archives Association of Ontario on archives and electronic records. This workshop was offered in Edmonton in November 2014 and due to popular demand, we are offering it a second time.
This hands-on workshop will lead students from the development of policies and procedures through to the practical elements of acquiring, processing and preserving electronic records. Students will learn how to develop a programme statement and discuss preservation planning, examine the nature of electronic records and the role of metadata, and practice tasks in acquiring and processing electronic records with some of the commonly available tools.
Class size: 12 (minimum) / 17 (maximum)
Cost: $150 (ASA member); $175 (non-member)
